Teave

In this playlist, we will take a closer look to the topic of digitalization. As the topic is quiet wide, it is not possible to tackle everything. The main focus of this content is based on digital well-being and how to take care of yourself in the online world. Check out all four activities to get more information, challenge yourself and discuss about it with others! This way you can participate in the playlist and the individual activities:
  • Log in (or create a free account if you are using the platform for the first time).
  • Click on "participate" in the playlist. The playlist is now saved in your account and you can view your progress.
  • Look at the individual activities in the playlist. Click on participate to start the activity. Read through the activity and engage with the tasks and learning experiences. You will find all the websites and documents mentioned under 'materials' in the activity.
  • For each activity you complete, you will receive a digital badge: upload a proof, e.g. a photo or a screenshot, or write your answer to a question in the text field.

Teave

Search engines, social networks and other "free" services collect personal data around the clock. From this, they create behavioral profiles with which they make a profit: The data is sold to insurance companies or advertising companies. In this way, our personal rights are violated. They rob us of control over our data and restrict free communication on the Internet. They even go so far as to claim to know what we need, feel and think. Some data octopuses make their money by rating people. This procedure is called "scoring." For example, someone who lives in the "right" part of town gets a product on account. Another person does not. Google is not neutral either and displays personalized search results. (source)
