Search engines, social networks and other "free" services collect personal data around the clock. From this, they create behavioral profiles with which they make a profit: The data is sold to insurance companies or advertising companies. In this way, our personal rights are violated. They rob us of control over our data and restrict free communication on the Internet. They even go so far as to claim to know what we need, feel and think. Some data octopuses make their money by rating people. This procedure is called "scoring." For example, someone who lives in the "right" part of town gets a product on account. Another person does not. Google is not neutral either and displays personalized search results. (source)﻿
